our philosophy

Our goal has always been to inspire and educate a new generation of activists and global change agents by making sustainability education as accessible and widely available as possible.

We have been working pro bono to educate students in high schools and colleges since 2015 on the actual environmental and social costs of the fashion industry. Through Fashion Revolution, we have quickly reached more than 11,000 students in Italy, launched courses at 16 universities, and developed an educational model that is currently used in more than 100 nations worldwide.

OUR PILLARS
Independency
#1

independency

S.O.W. - SCHOOL OF WRAD does not accept funds from corporations and stakeholders that could undermine our authenticity.

This is our formula for preserving the integrity of courses, without having to compromise between the dissemination of awareness and the economic interests of companies that apply unsustainable business models.

Inclusivity
#2

inclusivity

Making the culture of sustainability more inclusive starts with making it understandable to everyone. Translation into several languages other than Italian and English is one of the goals we have set ourselves. Only in this way can we include millions of people and students who are currently excluded due to language barriers, which in turn are caused by economic barriers.

Accessibility
#3

accessibility

How can education on a topic that has an impact on all our lives be exclusive and elitist? For this reason, we have designed a methodology that enables us to keep course costs 50–95 % lower than those of competitors, while never sacrificing the courses' quality. Additionally, the purchasing of each course ensures that students in other regions of the world have free access to the identical materials owing to the 1-for-1 programme.

Transversality
#4

Transversality

Provide resources to develop a mindset that can be applied to our daily life as well as the world of textile and fashion.
